That’s how you get to the Hertehof: Google Maps
Please note that in winter it may be required to have snow chains for the approach! In Austria, winter tires are mandatory (while winter road conditions) from November 01 to April 15.
In winter, guests often try to get to Damüls via the Furkajoch. Please note that from December to the end of May/June, depending on snow conditions, WINTER BARRY is valid over the Furkajoch and the road can not be driven even if your navigation system calculates this route.
In summer there is the additional possibility to arrive via the Furkajoch. This narrow pass road can be reached via Rankweil - Laterns but we would also recommend to not use that partially single-lane mountain road.
If you are travelling via the Austrian freeways or expressways, you will need a vignette. You can receive this either as a 10-day, 2-month or annual vignette.
Exception: Autobahn A14 from Hörbranz (Pfändertunnel) to Hohenems.
For example, if you drive from Germany via Bregenz to Dornbirn, you do not need a vignette.
